The streets of all Irish cities will be full of people dressed in different green clothes tomorrow. That’s all because of the national symbol – the three-leaved shamrock, which Saint Patrick used to explain the Holy Trinity to Irish pagans. The most colorful holiday is celebrated with big processions, performances and favorite dishes of course.

Traditional Irish cuisine can satisfy everyone. For example, one of the most popular Irish dish is stew, which was traditionally made with mutton, slowly stewed for hours until the meat was tender, with onions, potatoes and some recipes adding carrots to the pot. Nowadays the Irish stew made with lamb is more popular. In Irish menu for the day you can also find soda bread, colcannon and champ, smoked salmon and many other things.
